'How do I get to Baden-Powell House?'

'There are several bus lines and Tube stations neaby. South Kensington and Gloucester Road Stations are both between a 3 to 5 minutes' walk away and are on the Distric, Circle and Piccadilly Lines. The nearest mainline station is Victoria where you can catch the District or Circle Line to South Kensington or Gloucester Road. To plan your journey, please visit Transport for London's website at www.tfl.gov.uk.'

'Is Baden-Powell House only available to use by Scout groups?'

'No--any group, organisation, business or any person can book accommodation or conference/events facilities here at Baden-Powell House.'

'Do you have any camping facilities or outdoor activities?'

'Unfortunately our location in Central London does not allow for camping or outdoor activities. Our sister site Gilwell Park, home of the UK Scouting Headquarters, does have these facilities. '

'What is your maximum capacity?'

'Our maximum capacity is 300 people seated theatre style or in a standing reception.'

'Can we bring our own catering?'

'Yes!'

'Can we serve alcohol at our event?'

'We are more than happy to run a cash bar for your event. Please contact us to discuss other options.'

'How late can my event run?'

'Our license allows us to run events up to 23.00, with the exception of the roof terrace, which we can host events on up until 22.00.'

'Do you have a dedicated A/V technician on-site?'

'No, but all of our staff are knowledgeable in the use of our equipment and are able to troubleshoot any problems you might have. If you are bringing your own production equipment and would like to bring along an A/V technician you are more than welcome to do so. We can also provide you with a dedicated A/V technician at an extra cost.'

'Where does the money you make go?'

'As a charity you can be assured that any income generated through our conference centres goes back into Scouting, benefiting young people across the UK and beyond. Furthermore, as a not-for-profit organisation, we are able to keep our prices low while still delivering first-class service and facilities.'
