Prime Minister David Cameron made a secret visit to Worcester for a surprise conference with party members at Sixways Stadium recently.
Worcester Warriors Chairman Cecil Duckworth OBE was here to officially welcome Mr. Cameron to Sixways for his 45-minute stay that saw him meet local MPS and councillors from the region.
Mr. Cameron discussed his first year in office during his trip to the home of this newly refurbished conference and banqueting centre also the home Worcester Warriors .He took questions on a range of issues and concerns the Government is currently facing.
Sixways Stadium, home to both professional rugby club Worcester Warriors and Sixways conference and banqueting Centre is one of the country's most exciting, dynamic and versatile venues. It has previously been given the royal seal of approval with HRH Princess Anne opening the stadium development in 2009 and can accommodate up to 1000 people for a meeting.
However, this was a first visit from an acting Prime Minster and Mr. Duckworth: “We were delighted to welcome Mr. Cameron to Sixways for his visit. It was another special day in the history of our ever developing complex.”
