Privately owned and operated Stonecross Manor Hotel was originally an orphanage for young girls in the 1850's.
It is situated on the outskirts of Kendal with ample free car parking making it an ideal base from which to visit England's best known National Parks, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The outstanding natural beauty of this area with its magnificent mountains and beautiful lakes has inspired many famous people like William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter as well as the many other people who come each year.
All guest rooms are comfortably appointed with traditional décor in keeping with the overall ambiance of the hotel. Each room has an ensuite with bath and shower, colour television, tea & coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, internet socket and writing desk.
