The Assembly House, with its wide choice of function rooms, offers the ideal setting for any business or social event.
With two of the largest rooms available in the centre of Norwich with seating up to 300 the House is the ideal setting for any business or social event. Other smaller rooms all light and spacious overlook the fountain and courtyard at the front of the house. Full Catering and a wide selection of equipment is available. Car parking and disabled access.
The Noverre is the largest room in the House and can accommodate up to 300 people theatre style. It was originally built as a ballroom by Frank Noverre, a descendant of the Swiss-born Jean-Georges Noverre ‘the Shakespeare of dance' – famous as the dance master to the Court of Louis XVI and Marie Antionette.
The Music Room with it's chandeliers, ornate architechture and galleries is a favourite meeting place and conference room for prestige events. The Music Room is conveniently situated in the centre of the building adjacent to the Grand Hall which is also available for registration and reception drinks. The capacity for the Music Room is 200 theatre style but can also cater for up to 100 for a sit-down function. There is a small stage at the end of the room on which resides a Steinway Grand Piano. There is a hearing loop system installed and a P.A. system is available.
The Sir Edmund Bacon Room, the Kent Room, the Pierce Room and the Sexton Room are all smaller Georgian rooms on the first floor overlooking the front of the building and courtyard and can each accommodate up to 50 people.
