Located in the heart of Glasgow at 14 Enoch Square, the Scottish home of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) provides an ideal venue for corporate events, conferences and post-conference dining - including one of the only purpose-built lecture theatres in the city with tiered seating for up to 125 guests.
Built in 1875 and originally the headquarters for the famous Teacher's Whiskey, IET Glasgow: Teacher Building is a well-known and valued landmark of the city and a Grade II listed building. Becoming home to the IET in 1991, the venue was devotedly transformed into a versatile conference centre with contemporary uses, and now provides no less than 14 meeting rooms across 4 floors, catering for any event or occasion.
First-class food and refreshments are a vital element in creating a successful event. We source local ingredients wherever possible and our network of carefully chosen local suppliers excels at the provision of superb seasonal produce - impeccably presented by our professional waiting staff. Additionally, working closely with local companies to provide parking facilities for clients, we have managed to avoid one of the biggest issues of city centre locations.
All rooms have free WiFi internet access, state-of-the-art audio visual technology, telephone access and the majority of rooms enjoy full air conditioning. However, the most important factor is the focus placed on hosting events; every organiser is given precisely the attention to detail and personal service needed from their dedicated events coordinator to make their events successful and enjoyable - each and every time.
