The Estate is founded on the site of the 19th century gun powder works, it is dotted with massive millstones and other carefully preserved reminders of its history. Our luxurious bedrooms have been converted from the original buildings and are sited close to the Hotel's main facilities, some overlooking the Great Langdale Beck and some looking to high fells or nestling in the wooded beauty of the Estate.
Our recently refurbished conference rooms, all have air-conditioning, luxurious fixtures and fittings, and a wide range of presentation equipment available to delegates. We have also provided Italian leather executive chairs for your comfort.
