Refurbishment of Ascot‘s Parade Ring Suite:

One of Ascot‘s key conference and events suites has recently undergone an elegant design refurbishment. This refurbishment has resulted in creating an effortlessly sophisticated interior with beautiful fixtures and the highest quality finishes to deliver a world-class event venue for Royal Ascot as well as providing a functional, stylish yet flexible space for private events throughout the rest of the year.

Inspiration for the new suite was taken from a combination of elements and is reflected in the interior décor, furnishings and fittings; the elliptical form of the Parade Ring, the extensive heritage between fashion and millinery at Ascot and the Queen Anne Rose which was introduced at Ascot as part of the tercentenary celebrations in 2012 in recognition of the racecourse‘s founder, Queen Anne.

A unique space located in the heart of the grandstand, the Parade Ring Suite has a dedicated balcony looking over the Parade Ring itself, providing optimal views of horses, jockeys and trainers on racedays. Situated directly opposite the Royal Box, the suite is used by the Queen and Royal party to access the private section of the balcony.

Away from racing, the Parade Ring suite is ideal for corporate meetings, intimate fine dining, product launches and networking receptions. With a maximum capacity of 400 for a reception and 260 for a dinner, the suite has floor to ceiling windows, an integrated PA system and TVs for presentations and videos.

Launch of 2017 Conference & Event DDR menu

Ascot launches new DDR Conference & Events menu for 2017:

Ascot has recently introduced its new Day Delegate Rate menu for 2017. Designed by award winning Executive Chef Gemma Amor the menu includes favourites with a twist as well as a number of innovative firsts.

Using fresh ingredients and focussing on easy to eat bite size buffet items, the new luncheon menu allows delegates to choose from a selection of cold and hot dishes such as mini chicken and camembert paninis, Ascot club cheese burgers, lamb kofta with harissa aioli, king prawn rosti and a range of cold salad bowls, providing a healthier option. These include Teriyaki beef noodle salad, Tuna Nicoise and Hot smoked salmon, orzo pasta with preserved lemon dressing.

Rustic sandwiches, sour dough and bagels remain firm favourites with traditional fillings and toppings such gammon ham and piccalilli, free range egg and chive, buffalo mozzarella, heirloom tomato and pesto as well as red pepper hummus, carrot slaw and crushed avocado with chilli jam.

The new menu for 2017 contains plenty of vegetarian options, examples include feta and beetroot turnovers, tempura vegetables with yellow Thai dipping sauce as well as a mini vacherin selection (3 cheese risotto, goats‘ cheese and olive, feta and tomato) which are not yet available outside of Ascot.

When it comes to pre-selecting deserts, delegates are spoilt for choice! Jam beignets with dark chocolate sauce, mini tarts and cheesecakes, cookies and cream, tiramisu, compressed fruits and vanilla and chocolate millefeuille make it a tough decision.

Ascot prides itself on using fresh, quality ingredients wherever possible with the majority of the menu being prepared in house by Sodexo.

New 2017 Conference & Event 3-course menu at Ascot

Ascot launches exciting new Conference & Events 3-course menu for 2017:

Ascot has recently introduced its new Conference & Events Autumn Winter and Spring Summer menus for 2017. Designed by award winning Executive Chef Gemma Amor the menus include trusted favourites with a twist as well as a couple of exclusive dishes.

Demonstrating the quality and presentation of Fine Dining that is synonymous with Ascot, a 3-course menu is priced at £52 excluding VAT. In order to provide a truly bespoke offering, clients have the option to upgrade starters and mains as well as include an amuse bouche and/or cheese course.

Using fresh best quality ingredients, starters on the menu this year include Rock lobster and avocado tian, burnt apple puree with whipped avocado and smoked salmon and langoustine terrine, brown shrimp, garden bean salad with Tobiko Caviar dressing. Mains from the Autumn Winter menu include roast loin of cod, seafood bouillabaisse, olivette potatoes, baby spinach and squid crackling whilst the Summer Spring menu boasts pan fried free range chicken, crisp pancetta, summer squash croquette, broad bean fricassee served with pan jus.

Exciting new innovative desserts also have a place on the 2017 menu including �Jammy Dodger� cheesecake, blackberry puree with pistachio tuile and an �Ascot Mess� made with crisp meringue, fresh and soused strawberries, vanilla cream, strawberry tuile and homemade marshmallows.

Upgrades include, amongst others, a watercress veloute with parmesan tuile and wild flowers, duck, foie gras and rhubarb terrine with cep brioche and toasted cobnuts, native lobster and spider crab �scotch egg� sardine ketchup, pickled cucumber served with caviar and seared breast of duck, salt baked celeriac, crispy kale, pomme presse and blackberries.

Ascot's Inaugural Showcase

Ascot‘s Inaugural Showcase:
Earlier this month, Ascot proudly held its inaugural Showcase event inviting new and existing clients, as well as booking agents, to the racecourse. With the main focus centring on demonstrating the site‘s flexibility in terms of hosting conferences and events, the Showcase also provided those present the opportunity to network.

Following a brief welcome and introduction from Juliet Slot, Commercial Director, guests were invited to explore the Furlong Club, Ascot‘s fully functional semi-permanent structure overlooking the track, and see for themselves tables stunningly laid out ready to host a private dinner, banquet, Christmas party and summer soiree.

The Furlong Club itself was promoted as a unique venue with private, decked terrace complete with lawns just a short stroll away from the magnificent Grandstand building. With parties of up to 500 for sit down or up to 1000 guests for buffet dining being catered for, it is the perfect summer location available for exclusive hire from July 1st to October 22nd 2017.

Ascot‘s Day Delegate Package was also showcased highlighting the full catering menu on offer including delicious breakfast, hot & cold buffet lunch together with mid afternoon tea and homemade cakes. In particular guests also enjoyed the opportunity to taste Ascot‘s award-winning catering with mini dishes from Sodexo‘s Christmas, fine dining and BBQ menus.

Retail units providing coffee, a variety of sandwiches and cakes as well as a cocktail bar were also present showing the diversity available across the site. The Showcase was supported by the Blue Hat Group who ran a number of team building activities and ITM who delivered stage, set and audio-visual support.

Full site tours were on offer throughout the course of the evening giving guests the chance to view the wide range of suites and spaces, both indoors and out. From exhibitions, team building events and private parties to conferences, award dinners and board meetings – the Conference & Events team were keen to prove that, whatever the occasion, Ascot can provide the ideal solution.

On 5 Suite, Ascot‘s new flagship venue:

On 5 Suite, as the name suggests, is located on the fifth floor of the Grandstand and offers spectacular views over the track from a panoramic window and viewing balcony that spans its length.

The contemporary design of its interior is truly innovative being based on five craftspeople – the farrier, the trainer, the groom, the saddler and the jockey affording guests an insight into some of the most important people involved in bringing every racehorse to the track.

This modern and elegant suite has a spectacular bar area with a private balcony and roof terrace providing superb views of the final two furlongs and the Windsor Estate beyond. With maximum capacity of 300 this suite is an ideal venue for Christmas parties or private dinners.

Alternatively, this space can be used for meetings, whilst the racecourse itself offers extensive complimentary parking, direct vehicle access, loading bays and free wi-fi.

The Furlong Club is a fully functional semi-permanent structure which is located next to Ascot‘s imposing grandstand. The Furlong Club is available for bespoke hire being an ideal summer venue for events including summer parties, black tie dinners, informal BBQs, team-building events and conferences.

This unique venue provides a delightful setting with private, decked terrace and luxury marquee just metres from the track with uninterrupted views of the finishing straight and is just a short stroll away from the Parade Ring, Grandstand, Winners‘ Enclosure and Bandstand.

The space within is versatile and can be transformed to suit most needs and includes catering facilities and stylish bars whilst the racecourse itself offers extensive complimentary parking, direct vehicle access, loading bays and free wi-fi.
