Robinson College

Robinson College provides a unique environment for national and international conferences.

From the outset Robinson College was planned with the needs of conferences very much in mind. Set in several acres of attractive wooded gardens yet only a few minutes' walk from the city centre and the famous "Backs", the College building is architecturally striking and highly functional.

The College has been a venue for residential and non-residential conferences and meetings since 1981 and over the years has steadily grown in experience and reputation. It is now considered by conference organisers and delegates to be one of the leading university conference venues in the UK. Robinson College has been voted as one of the Best Academic Venues in the country at the Meetings and Incentive Travel Awards achieving Bronze in 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017 (votes cast by customers).

In September 2015 we added a new meetings and events space, the Crausaz Wordsworth Building offering flat floor cabaret and classroom style set ups along with three breakout rooms and bright spacious foyer area all contained within the same building.

Our Auditorium with a raked floor and maximum seating capacity of 270 can be used for conference sessions, lectures, films, stage performances, etc. Our Umney Theatre offers a more intimate environment for conference sessions and lectures. Seating 120 delegates it is also air conditioned. The light-filled, Plenary Room in our new Crausaz Wordsworth Building offers up to 96 cabaret style (on round tables of 8) or 80 classroom style.

The College also has a further 20 meeting rooms available for smaller meetings, training courses, group and syndicate use. Rooms accommodate from 2 to 80 delegates and are conveniently located within our compact campus. Please note that some meeting rooms are only available during vacations.
