IET London: Savoy Place

IET London: Savoy Place is currently being transformed with a number of major refurbishments.

With flexibility, energy efficiency, cutting-edge IT, AV and wireless connectivity at the core, securing the venue as London’s premier event and meeting destination with stunning riverside views.

The reception area will be opened up to be more welcoming for visitors. New lifts from the main reception lobby will greatly improve access to the building and disabled access will be improved in all areas.


Panoramic views of the Thames

Each floor is being cleverly reconfigured to maximise views over the Thames, including uncovering and dropping a number of the front façade windows to floor level.


Roof Terrace

A new and unique space, the Roof Terrace offers a blank canvas for your event framed by breathtaking 360 degree panoramic views of London.

Riverside Suite

The third floor is given almost in its entirety to an enlarged Riverside Suite. The relocation of the kitchen to the basement and the incorporation of other adjoining rooms will increase the size of this high-profile room by over 50 percent.

Watson Watt Lecture Theatre

This is a newly created facility on the second floor and located in the light well area above the current lecture theatre.

It replaces the existing council chamber and will be the most significant new facility introduced at IET London: Savoy Place since the 1909 re-modelling of the building - an important and significant introduction providing additional theatre capacity for the building.

Boardrooms

Two brand new high tech boardrooms have been added to the first floor with built in video and audio conferencing facilities.

The Heritage Library

Heritage Library is a brand new event space in the heart of this historic building.

The Main Lecture Theatre

The ground floor lecture theatre will be modernised and reconfigured to ensure that each and every person will have the best possible view. The newly modernised theatre will have the very latest AV and technology throughout, including an enlarged screen and virtual event connectivity.

Faraday Centre

Over many years, the boundaries between the members' facilities and those of other functions in the building have become blurred.

Created with our IET Members in mind, this new space contains the Knowledge Centre and Library, a large lounge area, member meeting and brainstorming rooms and finally the new Kelvin Café and Brasserie.
