Heckfield Place is a magnificent 18th century manor house resting in 65 acres of parkland with spectacular views across two lakes. There is an attractive terrace including a wonderful walled garden and a courtyard, all bordered by natural woodlands. Steeped in history, it is an ideal location for conferences, teambuilding activities, special events and weddings or simply as a relaxing retreat from the rigours of the office. It is our philosophy that it's our people who deliver the service that make Heckfield Place such a very special venue. It has a family feel, with service coming from the heart. The result is a total commitment, to ensure that whatever type of event you plan it will be a resounding success every time. Heckfield Place is renowned locally as one of the best venues in the area offering an exceptional choice of over 20 well appointed meeting and syndicate rooms, all with excellent facilities, accommodating numbers from 6 - 120. Choose from one of the traditional period rooms in the manor house or alternatively for that modern, contemporary style, the Orangery Suite would be ideal. For large groups, marquees provide flexible and comfortable space. Heckfield Place is the ideal choice for any type of social event including family celebrations, wedding anniversaries, birthday parties, christenings and garden parties. We can offer lavish lunches and stylish dinners in one of our stunning private dining rooms. Enjoy a summer barbecue in our attractive courtyard adjoining the Stables bar. Our marquee and the Orangery Suite both are perfect for dramatic dinner dances, memorable functions and family fun days. Why not light up your evening with an extravaganza of fireworks using the grand manor house as a spectacular backdrop. Reward your team with an enjoyable, incentive away day at Heckfield Place. Our 65 acres of gardens and woodlands are available for a comprehensive range of activities from archery and treasure hunts to raft building and blindfold 4 wheel driving. Complete your event with a themed banquet in either our stunning marquee overlooking the lakes or the Orangery Suite with oak flooring and designer Italian lighting. Relax in one of our 68 comfortable bedrooms with many having views across the lakes or gardens and woodlands. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, minibar, direct dial telephone and remote control television with satellite channels. Some have 32" flat screen TV's with playstations for added entertainment. Spend a while exploring the historic gardens and breathtaking landscape. Heckfield Place boasts an enviable arboretum of very rare conifer trees from around the world. In the Victorian period, it was famed for its terraces and walled garden. During this period William Walker Wildsmith was Heckfield's famous head gardener. Through his work and determination he succeeded in changing the views on garden design and Victorian flower beds forever. Much of the garden has been asleep since the death of Wildsmith in 1890. However, through the dedication and passion of our head gardener, a lecturer with the Royal Horticultural Society, it is now being transformed back to it's former glorious appearance.
