Bylaugh Hall
Bylaugh (pronounced beela, sometimes mis-spelt as Belaugh) is a tiny hamlet with a Saxon round towered church nestling by the river Wensum which flows on to Norwich. There is an Old Hall built in the 15th Century surrounded by lovely farm buildings and cottages belonging to the King family. Most of the other houses in this hamlet were built by the Evans-Lombe family for the Estate. This new Bylaugh Hall is a small Stately Home built by Charles Barry (Architect of the Houses of Parliament) in 1850. In 1950 it was partially demolished and abandoned to the elements. Now it is coming gradually back to life. The great front doors looking through the hall and the salon The buildings of this beautiful hall have created a fabulous Cultural Centre. Yet the door remains open for some private bookings, for some weddings and for businesses to hold their conferences, training sessions and company meetings. Our event services are tailored to your individual requirements. All conferences and meetings from initial enquiry through to hosting are handled by our professional event management team and staff. We have a variety of large [The Ballroom, The Orangery and The Blue Room] and small function rooms, offering versatility for different conference styles and the use of equipment. We offer full use of our in-house conference equipment, whilst specialist requirements can easily be arranged upon request.
