The Dabbling Duck

Situated within the middle of the village of Great Massingham, surrounded by fields but only a short drive from the stunning North Norfolk coast, The Dabbling Duck is the picture of the best of British country pubs.

Step inside the pub to a welcoming atmosphere, with a proper bar where locals gather to drink local ales, eat from our menus with dishes ranging from good casual pub classics to sophisticated seasonal dishes showcasing the very best of local produce.

We have a choice of accommodation ranging from comfy and cosy country charm pub rooms, larger garden rooms or the generously proportioned rooms with contemporary styling in our house adjacent to the pub. If you want to self cater, we have that too with our charming Duckling Cottage just a few doors down from the pub.

We have function rooms to suit any occasion. Our Orangery is light and airy. The room can comfortably seat 22 guests in a banqueting style format. This has been very popular for birthday celebrations and baby showers. The Back-library links on to the orangery, so when taking this space privately both areas need to be booked. It is a stunning room lined with books and the famous in-house resident Maurice the Moose, who is over 100 years old. This room with the adjoining orangery can seat up to 60 guests.

The Barn is an oak beamed structure which is a semi outdoors structure , which provides al fresco dining. It is equipped with it’s own bar and pizza ovens.

Sitting directly next to the pub, this newly renovated building offers a fully equipped conference room that can accommodate up to 12 people. The room with all the amenities needed for a meeting, can be hired for half or full day with the added option of having breakfast or lunch served either in the conference room, in the breakfast room of Barrack House or at the pub.

Barrack House has four super king bedrooms (which can also be made as twins) and the whole house can be rented out or individual rooms booked which offers the opportunity to offer overnight stays for attendees.
